Visited with Mole last weekend. We'd planned on making our way to Edinburgh, but we never got that far. Our first stop was the Bell Baxter High School. We'd seen a report on it from only a year or so ago, which you can see here: http://www.urbexforums.co.uk/showthr...ht=bell+baxter
Boy, what a difference a year makes. The place looks completely different now. It's completely stripped out, virtually nothing left inside. Almost all the rooms are completely and utterly empty, with only a few small things nobody cared to steal remaining.
The only addition to the building since that last thread is metal mesh plating over every single ground floor door and window, and all roof windows. This made getting inside rather difficult, but we managed it eventually. The access for this place is now extremely dangerous; it involves standing on corragated plastic, held up by 1 small piece of wood. I'm amazed it didn't collapse beneath us - though it did sag an awful lot. I'd honestly say it isn't worth the trouble, there's so little left inside now.
With all that said, on to the pictures.
I laughed my ass off at this. Poor bird
Boiler room underneath the main school. Looks like few people have managed to find this, which isn't surprising. The entrance is in a really odd place, and we found it completely by accident after we thought we'd been everywhere.
Still fully stocked with coal.
