Arrow Denaby Main, Nr Doncaster. Jul 2010

Visited this place on my way to Thorpe Marsh. Probably been done to death so if anyone hasn't heard about it's history and wants to know a little THIS is what wikipedia has on the place.

Reminded me somewhat of huncoat power station meets low bradfield water treatment works. Stripped and wrecked with no features left and not much to see. Like the afore mentioned there is plenty of graffiti and street art and like them some of it quite decent.

Part way through my visit I heard voices and three youths duly appeared. I acknowledged them and pondered whether to not take any chance of them being hostile and fancying relieving me of my gear but chose to continue.

I wandered off to another part of the building and could hear their voices in the distance. After a while their voices became louder and louder and I realized they were heading towards where I was. I decided caution was order of the day and left and got in my car.

So my images are incomplete with no externals. Oh no looks like I'll have to go back some time .

So here's a flavour of my visit:

    Full set HERE.

This place is ace. It is the old pit bath house from the nearby pit - the leisure centre nearby has the winding wheel thing set in concrete, and the roundabout at the top of the road has a few old tubs from underground planted up with flowers. I went one evening with TC and the chavs were riding bikes through it. We went back fairly early one Saturday morning while they were still in bed to do it. In other news, I saw a large manpoo in this very building.
