Arrow Cerebos Salt, Greatham, Hartlepool, Oct '09

There's nothing like a good explore, and this was nothing like a good explore.
It's Cerebos Salt readers, once an important North Eastern explorers landmark, today it lies empty, stripped and faintly scary.

Inside the large distribution warehouse was a headless man, tied to a chair.

A couple of years ago, this office would have been quite interesting. Today it wasn't really.

Here's another fairly uninspiring view of it.

Ambassador Push Button Telephone, probably a 8202R or 8300? First introduced in 1982. Astonishingly it was the first UK telephone designed for the plug-and-socket connection which soon began to replace the wired-in (hard-wired) connection of previous telephones. Get in.

For fat workers there was a swimming pool to help them lose weight after too much eating curry off the conveyors.

Upstairs, although there was not a lot, at least it was quite interesting. (Not shown in photo)

This was outside the canteen, which was quite good. In a rubbish sort of way.

Still, as I don't have a list, it was another one off the map.

Was the canteen lady on strike when you went for food?

That factory looks doomed in its current state.
