Cwm Coke Works, Beddau, Summer 11.

This place is Cwm Coke, a coking works in Beddau, South Wales. It was built in the 1950's and worked alongside Cwm Colliery to produce vast amounts of Coke suitable for foundry use, until the colliery closed back in 1986 and the Cwm Coke itself in 2002. It has lay in disrepair ever since...

Our visit to Cwm Coke started with HiddenShadow suggesting we make the gruelling trip down to South Wales to see it, Cue a journey that took longer than I could ever have imagined. Big respect to HiddenShadow for driving and not falling asleep!
When we finally got to Beddau, We parked the car in the entrance to a field near the Coke works and tried to bed down for a few hours kip. This was interrupted repeatedly by the evil cows in the field doing their thing all night. Selfish B*stards.

When sunrise came we headed to Maccie's for some scran then headed back to the Coke works. Access was as easy as they come and we proceeded to spend several hours wandering around, climbing shit and just general larking about...
