West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum, AKA High Royds, is an abandoned psychiatric hospital just outside of Leeds, in the village of Menston. The hospital was opened in 1888 and closed in 2003.
The asylum was designed by Edward Vickers, and is a broad arrow design.

Our visit to High Royds, started early sunday morning with me picking Skrill up earlier than planned, due to the clocks going forward...
We rushed on over to High Royds, with the feeling that Bugsuperstar would be waiting for us. It was the other way around...
We spent ages trying to access the Admin, Main Hall and Clocktower, so we gave up and went for a wander around the rest of the site. With many corridors blocked off, comedy access was necessary, as was superman dives through windows and disabled access!
When it started getting on a bit and with Myself and Skrill having to get back to Manchester for 7, we went for one last crack at Admin. Yes! We were in, It was f*cking awesome! Some of the features in the Hall and Admin blocks were absolutely fantastic as was the Clocktower, But be warned... There are camera's in the Hall and Clocktower.
Anyway, It was an awesome day and wouldn't have happened without Skrill and Bugsuperstar so big up!

The camera in the hall is laser type fire detector, but the one in the clocktower is real. Had so many security Lols in the admin bit "STOP! I AM DE POLICE!" nice one brother lover

I went at the beginning of last year, just before the tourist trail did tbh. When i was there, there were corridors still standing, clock working etc. Not sure about now!
