Inverkip Power Station - Inverkip - December 2011

This is a place I have always wanted to visit, so we got the wheels in motion. This was supposed to happen in the summer, but Nick chose to walk his dog instead so we decided to go in the winter, when it's cold, snowing, icy and cold again.

Accessing the site has the same level of planning and excitement as Pyestock, once you're over that fence it's creepy time all the way to where you need to be. Massive thanks to Host for all of the intel, we'd have been buggered without you.

Anyway, 8 hours after leaving Manchester we magically arrived in Inverkip's famous control room, the lights weren't working as somebody had ate the fuse for the big lights but we cracked on regardless, had some trols and lolz and went to sleep.

In the morning, we did the conga, ate some epic sandwiches, did the conga again, added 'sh' to every word and began exploring the beast...

Of course, SNC tours are renowned worldwide for their famous livery, like Eddie Stobart, it would be rude not to...

You see that big chimney right there... Apparently snot do-able. Gone and Fishbrain fathomed out an insane way in, massive props to those guys. Me and Dr Doug decided we we're way too cool to climb the chimney, so we GTFO'd and ate black pudding and chips whilst the others climbed it...
