Xans Pants (left leg only) Liverpool, Jan 2012

Visited with Maybenot and Sephiroth,

A visit to Xans pants was planned but we only managed half of it on this occasion and in the end we couldnt get to the outfall because we only had wellies on and it is definately a job for waders..I really enjoyed this visit until I got covered in dogshit after helping Sephiroth remove one of his wellies.
Anyway this drain runs under the streets of liverpool but at certain points you can hear traffic passing above, this was my first time in a drain and really quite liked the tranquility of it all.

After dropping down the manhole there is a large galvinised vent.

The drain was spik and span and had long stretches of nothing but concrete box sections.
