Default NGTE Pyestock, Farnborough, Oct 2011

Well what can i say, this was probably the most epic day of exploring that i have had yet! and i hadnt written a report in a while so what better to do it on?

I knew from previous reports that this place was big - its not... its BIG + some more! i was completely gobsmacked at it, the biggest site id explored to date was Severalls and without looking at actual figures id have to guess that this was miles bigger, however what was nice was the fact that it wasnt massive in the way that it was disorientating like Sevs could be - every building was different. It is an actual haven for explorers

I wish i had got to this sooner really, its been pretty raped. the usual suspects like copper had been badly pillaged and the control rooms that Frink said were OK on his last visit had been trashed which was a real shame

This was also the closest i had got to being hounded by security, they are very active in their landie and we were practically inches away from security at the start of the explore, it was quite wierd how they seemed to stop very close to our location every time they did a round.

Visited with Professor Frink& Frink jnr - thanks for the tour guys

I could easily have spent a lot longer in there, and certainly have unfinished business. Trying to filter through what photos to put on here has been challenging!

I have tried to stay away from the typical "touristy" shots, but please bare with me - some had to be done! the one bastard about this place is the lack of light in a lot of places

The 2 decent pictures i got of the first cell we visited, inside was just too dark to get a good shot

After a good old mooch around here, we moved onto the air house - pictures do not do the size of this place any justice!

The nice, and not so nice ghead

    In ur dialz

Aaaand the generic one, unfortunately my allergy to heights restriced me to below the gantry, still a nice shot though!

    In ur cell 4

    And some misc ones

This is what i liked, a lot - the air filteration system. all the rooms to the right have a room full of massive air filters that make your car look like a grain of sand, there were just as many behind...!

    On your switches

    A couple of exteriors

    And finally,

    Thanks for looking!

Good stuff fella, it's a belting site, we spent the night there getting chased by Eastern European scrap thieves!
Could you use the proper title format though please ...

Not so important that you put the exact date, but the month and year would be handy. Just makes it easier when we're archiving stuff.
    Cheers

That was immense. Some really nice shots. I love these big industry sites with the grand oversized pipes, pumps, dials and machinery. I need to find a way to get there before it becomes too late.

    Thanks for the report DubbedNavigator.

Cheers. Although i wouldn't worry about it being too late any time soon - whatever "plans" there may be for it, it certainly wont get demo'd very quickly
