Arrow Russian Submarine: U-475 Foxtrot B-39

Thanks goes out to the owner for ferrying us over and allowing us on board for a fantastic opportunity!

This place is amazing, it looks a sorry state outside, but is like a time capsule inside!

The low yield nuclear warhead armed diesel submarine was nicknamed the 'Black Widow'. It is listing badly due to holes in the bodywork.

Active in the Russian Baltic Fleet until April 1, 1994, She had 27 years in service.

In some of the images, you will see the image is wonky, this is actually looking at the Sub level!! When I stand in the images, I am standing up straight!

Cheers everyone, I forgot to put in the title that the visit was in 2010.

I think the owner is currently painting the outside to it's original black colour and is trying to get some floating devices to help the sub raise slightly up the water level so they can carry out repairs to the ballast tanks and right it to a level stance.

The first couple of reports were done via inflatable dinghy! But when the owner found out people were getting on, he sealed all the old entrances and logged on to 28days to say he appreciates that people have an interest in the sub, but would prefer that people contacted him before so he can ferry them on board and nothing gets damaged.

When you get on board, he doesn't hold your hand, you can do what you want, the only thing you have to keep in mind is the tide of the river, as you need to leave before you get stranded lol!
