Post OLD RED SEA MINES - WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

    Here's an idea
When I was a kid and went to the seaside I would always encounter a Red Sea Mine, they were an everyday feature
But where are they now? And how many are left?
They were originally WWII sea mines that were converted to collection boxes for Shipwrecked Mariners.
The society still exists today but has somewhat moved on from these Red Mines to more orthodox methods of collection!

If you see one please take a photo and post it up here with some details of its location!
They were an everyday feature like red telephone boxes, but they are disappearing fast
They are still out there but where?

I'll start the thread with one I saw last year

Robin Hoods Bay - Yorkshire. Still doing sterling service, with a new lick of paint, well looked after

I have a list of national oddities I keep an eye out for, and the decommissioned sea mines of The Shipwrecked Mariners' Society are one of them.

There's a map showing where they are, and according to their website the Society is looking for volunteers to maintain some of the mines.

Found another sea mine! This one is on Hunstanton, sea front. Its no longer used now though as the money slit has been welded up and the "SWMS" signage is missing.

There use to be 270 mines around the country, now there are only 60 left! Get those pics up

My own SWMS, sea mine, collection box, circa 1950's.
