S Sheard Packaging was established in 1860 and is one of the largest sheet plants in the North of England. It is a family owned business located on a newer six acre site after moving to Greetland. The site has over 9000 square metres of manufacturing and warehousing space.

The company's success and sustained growth is achieved by delivering a fast and cost effective packaging solution to all their customers.

They manufacture corrugated packaging products and packaging consumables.

Nice find, love the old gantry cranes and hoists. Looks like a pretty big site :thumb

I'm wondering if this was two companies because it does'nt make sense that there is a Packaging plant and Spinning stuff. Unless...it was a spinning Mill and they did'nt use the roof space. hmmm :confused:

Yeah could be a relic from it's previous use, that would be pretty cool.

I enjoyed poking around in there, it looks as though it was waterpowered at one time as the stream runs in an arch underneath it.

Nice, this does look old - the gabled roof in picture 9 is unusual as it looks like it's wood and iron, I think they were normally one or the other.
