This is probably the most impressive UE site in South Korea so far. This old amusement park has been sitting abandoned on a ridge since 1999.

I went there a few months ago with a big group of my friends for the going-away party of a friend in the US army.

1. We met at the train station at 9am, but for most of these people, 9am is late at night, not early in the morning. They'd decided to stay up all night drinking rather than sleep.

2. The amusement park is at the top of this ridge on the edge of town.

3. The first sign of the park.

4. Swimming pool.

5. Decapitated head from one of the rides.

6. The trip was all in honour of my friend Jesse, who's going to Iraq soon.

16. We managed to get this ride spinning by pushing it. These two kids showed up with their dad with airsoft rifles. We'd never met them before but we were all jealous their dad takes them to abandoned amusement parks.

17. Leaping from one rocket to the next.

18. Looking down on Okpo City. Right behind that hill is one of the world's largest shipyards. There were lots of whorehouses around our hotel.

19. Five of us went back at 3am and just sat in the rocket ride, taking turns pushing it around.

Yeah, that's what everyone notices first when they look at pictures of the site. Myself, I was just too proud I made it up there to notice.

Good taste dictated that I not include this picture, but if you're brave, have a look at what we dared my friend to do.

 I did'nt notice it was holding it's "nuts" until it was pointed out. That place would'nt last 5 minutes in the UK. Nice place :thumb

Incidentally I stopped one of the two young boys from kicking in the duck head in picture 15. Judging by their accents they were British (or half British at least).

Hmmmm.... how typical.

I wouldn't call it typical. Our group consisted of Koreans, Canadians, Britons, Americans, Australians, and one German. Nobody else ever damaged anything, and nobody ever needed to be told not to. In our entire group of 14, only myself and one other guy would consider ourselves actual urban explorers, by the way.

Nah, I meant it's just fairly typical for the UK. The Brits in your group may concur.

Great place. :)

always sad to see rollercoasters/rides in that state, and the characters faces that once made many people smile.
